Antalya Cultural Center (AKM)
Antalya Atatürk Cultural Center (commonly referred to as AKM) was opened to the public in 1996. Since 2019, it has officially been referred to as the Atatürk Cultural Center.
Located in Atatürk Culture Park on Sakıp Sabancı Boulevard in the Meltem neighborhood of Antalya city center, it is one of the city’s most important cultural and artistic venues. The center has approximately 9,000 m² of indoor space.
AKM features two main halls as well as lower and upper foyer areas. The largest hall, the Aspendos Hall, is named after the ancient Aspendos Theatre and has a total seating capacity of 817 people, including 125 balcony seats and 692 seats in the main hall. Aspendos Hall is designed to host various performing arts such as theatre plays, concerts, ballet, and opera.
The Perge Hall, named after the ancient city of Perge, has an approximate capacity of 338 seats. This hall is used for film screenings, theatre performances, concerts, and similar events.
The lower and upper foyer areas within AKM are used for exhibitions, receptions, and various social events. The total size of the foyer areas is approximately 1,000 square meters.
